186 | Nikah for men is another name for responsibilities. Nikah for women is another name for obedience

When a man says "I accept", it means he has accepted those responsibilities that Allah has made obligatory upon him towards her.

When a woman says "I accept", it means that she is accepting to live under his leadership and obey him in the matters Allah has commanded her to do so.

Husband and Wife are two different entities created to worship Allah alone - by fulfilling the commandments given by Him. They both have different obligations depending upon the various kinds of nature they both possess.
